Jinchuuriki (Versi English)

1. Gaara

Gaara is the son of the Fourth Kazekage, and the younger brother of Temari and Kankurō. Before Gaara's birth, his father ordered Chiyo to seal the One-Tailed Shukaku within him, in hopes that Gaara would become the ultimate weapon for Sunagakure. Because a sacrifice was needed, Gaara's mother, Karura, was used. Before she died, Karura cursed Sunagakure, hoping Gaara would avenge her death. Gaara was trained by his father, but raised mainly by his maternal uncle, Yashamaru.
Because of the power of Shukaku, the villagers of Suna hated and feared Gaara, seeing him only for the monster sealed within him. For a time, Yashamaru seemed to be the only person who cared about Gaara. When Gaara would mistakenly harm others due to the subconscious abilities granted to him by Shukaku, Yashamaru would be the only one who understood that Gaara hadn't intended to harm anyone. Gaara's father, however, did not see Gaara in the same light, and viewed Gaara's frequent attacks upon villagers as a result of a failed experiment that was a threat to Suna.
Because of the danger Gaara imposed, his father began sending assassins to kill him, though when all attempts were met with failure, the Kazekage requested Yashamaru to kill Gaara. As a result, Yashamaru tried to assassinate Gaara, only to fail just as those before him. Gaara dealt a lethal blow to him. But when Gaara realized that it was Yashamaru, he was horrified, and screamed, before bursting into tears. Although Gaara tried to dismiss Yashamaru's attack as an order of the Kazekage, Yashamaru corrected him, by saying that he had willingly accepted the mission. Having never truly loved Gaara, Yashamaru hoped that killing Gaara would avenge the death of his sister, who had named Gaara after the phrase "a self-loving carnage" (我を愛する修羅, Ware wo ai suru shura), a sign of her intense hatred for Suna, not as love for her son. In the last ditch effort to kill Gaara, Yashamaru detonated a number of exploding tags covering his body, asking Gaara to "please die". Using his sand, Gaara survived the blast, and lost the only person he thought had cared for him. Gaara then used his sand to etch the kanji for love (愛, ai) onto his forehead, indicating his first actual injury. Since this incident, Gaara became an aloof and cruel person who would kill anyone to prove his existence and to obtain recognition from the village, all the while forfeiting his desire for friendship.
2. Yugito Nii

Yugito was made the Two-Tails' jinchūriki at the age of two and, at the end of a detestable training that was imposed on her, she was able to control her transformation into her tailed beast at will. In the anime, at some point, Yugito agreed for Nekobaa to obtain the paw print of the Two-Tails for the Paw Encyclopedia.

3. Yagura

During his time as Mizukage, the village was known as the "Village of the Bloody Mist" (血霧の里, Chigiri no Sato), mostly because of the barbaric ritual where Academy students kill one another in order to graduate. This practice was discontinued when an entire graduating batch of Academy students were massacred by a young Zabuza Momochi. It is likely that Yagura was the Mizukage whom Zabuza tried to assassinate when he revolted.
Yagura was also known to dispatch Kiri-nin who were suspected of being disloyal to the village immediately (commending and taking Kisame Hoshigaki as his direct subordinate after assassinating a traitorous member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist). Yet despite the terror of his reign, he appeared to be kind. Apparently the people of Kiri feared that Yagura was being manipulated, a fear which was confirmed by Ao, who saw through an unnamed genjutsu with his Byakugan, later identified by Kisame as the work of Madara Uchiha.

 4. Roshi
Rōshi became the jinchūriki of the Four-Tails at a very young age. He left his hometown of Iwa at some point to better understand and control the power of the beast within him.

5. Han
Han (ハン, Han) was a shinobi from Iwagakure and was the jinchūriki of the Five-Tailed Dolphin Horse, as well as the physically largest jinchūriki, easily standing a head taller than Killer Bee. The Five-Tails has been captured and sealed by Akatsuki, causing Han's death when the beast was extracted. Also, it is mentioned by Deidara that Han was one of the first jinchūriki to be captured in the anime.

6. Utakata
Prior to the events of the Tsuchigumo Kinjutsu Arc, Utakata promised himself to never use the Six-Tails' power and trained with his master Harusame. Eventually, Utakata would come to claim that Harusame betrayed him, almost taking his life, for the tailed beast's power. According to a member of Kirigakure's ANBU, his master did not, in fact, betray him, but was actually trying to extract the Six-Tails from Utakata. The process didn't go as planned, and instead of removing the tailed beast, Harusame forced Utakata's transformation into the Six-Tails and was killed by it. With only fragmented memories of the incident and the impression of betrayal, Utakata grew disillusioned and skeptical of the relationship between a master and student. He became a wanderer, constantly fighting off people who were after him, particularly the Hunter-nin sent from Kirigakure to retrieve him.
One day, he was attacked again. A girl named Hotaru, who happened to be there, assumed the assailants were after her. Utakata managed to fend of his attackers, but was injured in the process. Believing that Utakata had saved her, Hotaru took him to her family's fort for treatment. After he recovered, Hotaru begged him to train her in his ninjutsu, but Utakata adamantly refused, not wanting to become anyone's master.

7.Fu
(フウ, ) was a kunoichi from Takigakure and the jinchūriki of the Seven-Tailed Horned Beetle. The Seven-Tails has been captured and sealed by Akatsuki, causing Fū's death when the beast was extracted. Fū was mentioned by Deidara to be one of the first jinchūriki to be captured in the anime.

8.- Previous Eight Tails
He was the previous jinchūriki of the Eight-Tailed Giant Ox. He did not have control over the Eight-Tails, as it killed many Kumogakure ninja including Motoi's father. The Third Raikage Killer Bee. extracted the Eight-Tails, resulting in the jinchūriki's death. The Eight-Tails was immediately sealed in Killer Bee.
  - Killer Bee

From the age of five, Bee has been best friends with Motoi, who he always greeted with a fist bump. After the Eight-Tailed Giant Ox lost control and killed Motoi's father, it was sealed inside Bee with an Iron Armor Seal. Soon afterward, Bee suffered from similar prejudices and angers that the villagers of Konohagakure did against Naruto Uzumaki.
However, he kept smiling and pushing himself to be the best jinchūriki that he could be, so his brother, the Fourth Raikage, wouldn't be hurt politically. Motoi tried to kill Bee, believing it would also kill the Eight-Tails and avenge his father, but Bee disarmed him and didn't bear him any ill will, which led Motoi to not speak to Bee for thirty years from shame. Bee would later train with his brother on an island in the Land of Lightning, where there he would find the Falls of Truth. There he would learn how to control the Eight-Tails in the blink of an eye. Sometime since then, much like Naruto, Bee has become beloved in Kumogakure as the village's hero, or, as Motoi called him, the Hero of Heroes.

9. -Mito Uzumaki
The Uzumaki clan and the Senju clan, being distant relatives, had always had close ties. For this reason, Mito married Hashirama Senju, who would help found Konohagakure and become the village's First Hokage. After Hashirama's victory against Madara Uchiha at the great battle at the Valley of the End, the Nine-Tails came into Konoha's possession. Mito used her clan's unique fūinjutsu and sealed the beast within herself in order to keep the threat that the Nine-Tails posed contained. Despite the seal's strength, it almost broke at some later point when she was going through childbirth. Eventually, her husband died in war, and Mito was left a widow.

An elderly Mito comforting her successor, Kushina.
Towards the final years of Mito's life, it was decided that a new host for the Nine-Tails would need to be found. Kushina Uzumaki, one of Mito's kinsmen, was then selected for the role due to her special chakra, and was terrified by the idea. Mito comforted her and, before the transfer was performed, told Kushina that love was the only way to counter the Nine-Tails' hatred.

  - Kushina Uzumaki

Born into the famed Uzumaki clan of Uzushiogakure, Kushina lived most of her youth being caught-up in war, making her seek for a daily "peace". At a young age she was sent to Konoha and enrolled in the village's Ninja Academy. Wanting to make a strong first impression, she proclaimed to her class that she would be the first female Hokage. The other kids laughed at her statement, and began calling her Tomato (トマト) because of her then-round face and fiery red hair. This prompted her to lash out and pummel the kids who teased her. This, in addition to her red hair flowing wildly around, earned her the nickname of Red Hot-Blooded Habanero (赤い血潮のハバネロ, Akai Chishio no Habanero).
Sometime after arriving in Konoha, Kushina was kidnapped by Kumogakure ninja who wanted to make use of her special chakra. As they escorted her to Kumo she secretly plucked and left behind strands of her red hair to mark her trail in the hopes that someone would find her. Minato Namikaze, one of her classmates that Kushina believed to be a wimp, was the only one to pick up on this. After rescuing her he informed her that he had always admired her red hair. Since Minato proved himself to be anything but a "wimp" and liked the one thing she hated about herself, Kushina fell in love with him.
Kushina was eventually told why she was forced to leave her home of Uzushio and go to Konoha; because of her special chakra, she was to be the next jinchūriki of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox. Kushina was terrified by the idea, but she was comforted by the Nine-Tails' then-current jinchūriki, Mito Uzumaki. Before the transfer was performed, Mito told Kushina that love was the only way to tame the Nine-Tails and overcome its hate. The love of Minato helped her do so.

Minato and Kushina.
As she grew up Kushina became renowned for her beauty and unique ninjutsu style, including the fūinjutsu of her clan. At some point, Kushina married Minato and they conceived a son. During her ten-month jinchūriki pregnancy, they decided to name him "Naruto" after the main character of Jiraiya's first book. When Jiraiya asked if they were sure, stating that it was a name he came up with while eating a bowl of ramen, Kushina said that it was a beautiful name. They even chose Jiraiya to be Naruto's godfather. Kushina also hoped that her son and Mikoto Uchiha's youngest son Sasuke would become friends in the future.
Because the seal keeping the Nine-Tails within Kushina's body would weaken during childbirth, special arrangements were made. Kushina would leave the village in secret and give birth in a remote location. Minato would help maintain the seal and ANBU would guard the area. Soon after Naruto was born they were found by Madara Uchiha. Madara killed all of the ANBU and took Naruto hostage, threatening to do the same to him. Minato was able to take Naruto back, but this gave Madara the chance to escape with Kushina. Wishing to use the Nine-Tails to destroy Konoha, Madara released it from Kushina's body. Since the longevity of the Uzumaki allowed her to survive the extraction, Madara tried to have the Nine-Tails kill her. She was saved by Minato and brought to Naruto, who she stayed with while Minato went to help in the village's defense.

To stop the Nine-Tails' attack, Minato was forced to bring it to Kushina and Naruto's location. Kushina restrained it and, dying from the trauma of its removal, volunteered to have it sealed back into her body so that it would die with her. Doing so would also save the lives of Minato and Naruto, her thanks to them for giving her such a happy life. Minato suggested using the Dead Demon Consuming Seal on the Nine-Tails and sealing the rest of it into Naruto instead. As this would mean Minato's death and consequently give Naruto a horrible, lonely life, Kushina objected. Minato convinced her that it was for the best and that he would be able to let Kushina see Naruto when he was older. When the Nine-Tails realized their intentions, it tried to kill Naruto, but Minato and Kushina used their bodies to shield him. As Minato performed the sealing and already at the point of death, Kushina told Naruto how much she loved him and gave him advice for the future. Minato sealed the rest of her chakra into Naruto, ending her life.
Her family name was then given to Naruto by the Third Hokage, in hopes that nobody else would discover the connection between Naruto and Minato.

  - Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto was born as the son of the Fourth Hokage; Minato Namikaze and the Nine-Tails' second jinchūriki; Kushina Uzumaki. Naruto's parents had named him after the main character of Jiraiya's first book, making the Sannin his godfather.
Prior to Naruto's birth, his parents knew that the seal that kept the Nine-Tails within Kushina would be in danger of breaking during childbirth. To prevent that threat Kushina was taken a short distance outside of the village to give birth in secret, with Biwako Sarutobi and Taji as her midwives, a few ANBU as security, and with Minato keeping the seal in place. Immediately after Kushina gave birth, Madara Uchiha appeared and took Naruto hostage, demanding Minato to step away from Kushina or he would kill the newborn child. Madara then used a clever diversion that forced Minato to transport the baby to a safer location, allowing him to escape with Kushina. By the time Minato could intervene, Madara had already succeeded in releasing the Nine-Tails.
Fortunately, Kushina (who survived the extraction thanks to her strong vitality) was saved by Minato and brought to Naruto, leaving the weakened mother to care for the sleeping Naruto while Minato went to combat Madara. To save the village, Minato sacrificed his life to seal the Nine-Tails within Naruto, believing that his son would someday have need of the demon's power to defeat Madara's threat once and for all. Suddenly orphaned, Naruto was left to grow up knowing nothing of his parents, receiving only his mother's last name since the Third Hokage felt that it was best that nobody knew that he was related to the Fourth Hokage.

Naruto as a young child.
Before Minato died, he asked that the villagers of Konoha view Naruto as a hero who had helped defeat the Nine-Tails. However, only a few of the villagers honored his request, while most instead resented him for containing the monster that had destroyed their home. In light of this, the Third Hokage decreed that nobody should ever speak of the truth about Naruto, hoping that their children would not resent him as they did. The children, however, followed their parents' lead, despite not knowing why. Apart from the Third Hokage, Iruka Umino was the only one who acted as a surrogate family to the young Naruto.

10. Sage of the Six Paths (Rikudou Sennin)

According to Jiraiya, the Sage was a priest who appeared long ago in an age of endless war. He was the first to explain the truth about chakra and tried to use his power and wisdom to lead the world to peace instead of war. The Sage travelled throughout the world, spreading his ideas and religion, the Shinobi Sect (忍宗, Ninshū), which eventually came to be known as ninjutsu. His great deeds and true desire to bring peace to the war-torn world led him to become widely known as the Saviour of this World (この世の救世主, Kono Yo no Kyūseishu).

The Sage divides the Ten-Tails' chakra into the nine tailed beasts.
According to Madara Uchiha, centuries before the beginning of the main storyline, the Sage defeated the most powerful demon in the ninja world, the Ten-Tailed Beast. In order to protect the world from the Ten-Tails, the Sage developed an unknown technique to seal the beast within himself, allowing him to harness and control its terrifying power, and making himself the first jinchūriki. Although he had successfully sealed the Ten-Tails, its power was so great that the seal would break after the Sage's death. Aware of this, the Sage used Izanagi to divide the Ten-Tails' chakra into nine parts, which would become known as the tailed beasts. He then used Chibaku Tensei to seal the Ten-Tails' body inside a gigantic stone prison in the sky, thus creating the moon. The Sage would leave behind a tablet for his descendants which details his history with the Ten-Tails. Only those who possess the Rinnegan can fully decipher what is written on the tablet, while a person with a different dōjutsu can still partially interpret the information.
The Sage's ultimate wish to establish peace throughout the world was a goal that could never be achieved within his lifetime alone. Knowing that his end was approaching, the Sage entrusted his strength, dream, and legacy to his two sons. The older son, who inherited the Sage's "eyes" (his powerful chakra and spiritual energy), believed that power was the true key to peace. The younger son, who inherited the Sage's "body" (his powerful will and physical energy), believed that love was the true key to peace. On his deathbed, the Sage chose his younger son to be his successor. Overcome by bitterness and envy, the older son attacked the younger, beginning a war between them. Their feud would continue on through their descendants: the Senju clan and the Uchiha clan.
The Rinnegan would later resurface, manifesting itself in Nagato, a descendant of the Uzumaki clan who are related to the Senju. Jiraiya believed that the Sage could have somehow been "reborn" as Nagato in the present era. Nagato himself, however, admitted that his own power paled in comparison to that of the Sage. Still others, such as Kakashi Hatake, believed that the Sage is merely a myth, and that the Rinnegan is merely a mutation. However, the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's recognition of the Sage (and the tailed beasts' apparent status as the only survivors from the Sage's lifetime), lends credibility to his existence.
